BREMEN, September 29, 2022 –IGEL, provider of the IGEL OS managed endpoint operating system for secure access to every digital workplace, has appointed third-party software support provider LemoniaX of Sinzheim, Germany, as its first IGEL Advisor Partner in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region under the IGEL Velocity Partner Program. The partnership was sealed at the End User Computing (EUC) partner and customer conference DISRUPT ON TOUR in Munich, Germany on September 8, 2022. IGEL Advisor Partner status in the IGEL Velocity Partner Program was created for partners where consulting, rather than sales, is the focus of the business. IGEL is thus expanding its Velocity Program to include the possibility for partners to profit from successful projects with IGEL OS, even if they are not directly involved in the sales and implementation of the solution. In particular, IGEL wants to ensure that IGEL OS is also considered independently of the implementation partner for strategic and long-term projects in the establishment or further development of large IT landscapes.

LemoniaX was founded at the beginning of 2021 with the goal of offering third-party software maintenance in the Citrix environment. Thorsten Schmiady, CEO of LemoniaX, explains: “We see ourselves as the sparring partners of our customers when it comes to their end-user computing strategy. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, there are still many companies that continue to rely on Citrix infrastructures from their own data centers. Our service and support offering focuses on the maintenance and care of Citrix on-premises installations. We tailor our services to the individual needs of user companies. Customized service and support solutions provided on-site by third parties are characterized by the fact that costs can be significantly reduced without compromising availability. Our costs are transparent and predictable. This puts our customers in the comfortable position of deciding for themselves – and not because of cost pressure – whether and when they want to use cloud services.”

Patrizia Fioretti, Vice President Enterprise Channel Europe at IGEL, comments: “We are pleased to have LemoniaX as an IGEL Advisor Partner in Germany, which fits exactly the profile of such a partner. LemoniaX is active in the end-user computing market and employs experts who have an extremely high level of know-how in the field of VDI infrastructures. As part of their support activities and from the experience of their service and support contracts with Citrix customers, they are also able to provide recommendations for the optimal end-user computing infrastructure. We are now supporting this opportunity with the inclusion of LemoniaX in the IGEL Velocity Program with the first Advisor status in the DACH region.”

Mark Templeton, advisory board member of LemoniaX and ex-CEO of Citrix, adds: “Application delivery via a Citrix virtual desktop infrastructure plays a significant role in many organizations. As a result, companies are looking to broaden their vendor landscape and often desire third-party service and support. It is therefore important that companies like LemoniaX exist to help organizations operate and maintain their Citrix architecture. We often find that streamlining and simplifying the endpoint landscape leads to further cost savings and operational efficiencies. We are pleased that with our partnership with IGEL, we can now officially recommend IGEL OS to our Citrix customers as a secure and easy-to-manage operating system for endpoints.”

Partners with IGEL Advisor status receive preferential support from IGEL in the form of additional services, consulting and training. To obtain Advisor status, partners need staff with four different certifications, among others.
